November 17, 2024--Glock meets everyone with such enthusiasm and affection that you would never guess he may have been used as target practice. He was found wandering in GA on a cold November morning and was picked up by local animal control.
December 2, 2024--When volunteers first met Glock at Harris County Animal Control, they found a young dog that could sit, shake hands, lay down and roll over.... and a dog that just loved people.

December 9, 2024--Upon further examination it was determined he had been shot through the eye and the bullet lodged in his neck, just below his chin. This was confirmed through x-rays.

January 8, 2025--Next Stepp Animal Rescue used social media to fundraise for Glock's eye enucleation and neuter. He underwent surgery, however it was decided that it would be safer to leave the bullet where it had lodged. His recovery went smoothly.
February 3, 2025--As much as Glock loved people, he struggled with the noisy, high energy level at animal control. He went to foster at the Stepp farm and with slow introductions to the Stepp pack of dogs, he soon enjoyed being a part of their group .

February 8, 2025--Foster Mom Sue took Glock to his first adoption event at Petco. One of Next Stepp Animal Rescue's new volunteers, Roy, fell in love with this sweet boy.

March 24, 2025--Roy took Glock out on weekly play days and decided to adopt this fun loving boy. The happy adoption was finalized!
